Mt. Shuksan, North Cascades, Washington  2019

In
June this year, we took a trip to the NW part of Washington state to visit with Shon's brother and his wife.     On one day of our visit, they took us up to the ski area at Mt. Shuksan, about 50 miles east of Bellingham, WA.   This is a peak that has appeared on so many calendars that they are hard to count.      This is the third time Shon and I have visited this area.   The snow pack was very light this year,  so the roads were open in June.     We encountered clouds and some rain on the drive out, but the weather was otherwise OK.    It was fun to see Mt. Shuksan under varied conditions.     Here are two of the views that we photographed:

Many thanks to Roger and Barb for the wonderful afternoon drive.
