Shack and Lab Area for W7PUA    March 13, 2008

This is the operating area for Bob Larkin, W7PUA.   Don't be fooled by the appearance of all that commercial gear.   The computer on the right serves as the control for Bob's DSP-10 software defined transceiver that resides in one of the chassis boxes behind the computer.    The little blue box is (I think) the "riglet" amplifier for 2M that Bob uses on 2M with the DSP-10.    Some folks would call this QRP, but we can't really do that, for it runs 7 or 8 watts output on about any mode that one can envision.  Out of sight are transverters for all microwave bands up through 10 GHz, if not further.     The DSP-10 and a modest 100 W brick have allowed Bob and his brother to do EME with a single Yagi at each end.

This photo shows Bob working on a breadboard for something new and interesting.   The equipment includes HP network analyzers and sweepers as well as a Tek 494A spectrum analyzer.
